NovaDocs AI ("we," "our," or "the App"), developed by Cosmos Code, is a smart productivity tool designed to help you scan documents, extract expense and receipt intelligence, reconstruct editable Word (.docx) documents, and sync files and financial ledgers directly to your personal Google Drive and Google Sheets. We value your privacy and are committed to complete transparency regarding how your data is handled.

The NovaDocs AI Privacy Promise: We do not own, store, sell, or share your documents or financial records. Your data belongs exclusively to you. We use industry-standard encryption and secure cloud-assisted intelligence to organize your files and generate budget spreadsheets without compromising your privacy.

1. Google Drive Integration (drive.file Scope)
NovaDocs AI uses the Google Drive REST API with the limited drive.file scope. This means:
- Access Limitation: The app can only create, view, edit, and manage the specific files and folders that it creates (such as the "SmartArchive" folder or organized subfolders like /Finance/Receipts/). We cannot access, view, or modify any other personal documents, photos, or data in your Google Drive.
- Direct Upload: Your scanned PDFs and generated .docx documents are transmitted directly from your device to your personal Google Drive account. At no point are these files permanently stored on our external servers.

2. Google Sheets Integration (Spreadsheet Expense Export Scope)
NovaDocs AI requests access to the Google Sheets API (spreadsheets scope) to enable automated financial tracking:
- Scope Usage & Purpose: When you choose to export or sync expense data from scanned receipts and invoices, NovaDocs AI creates and appends parsed ledger rows (e.g., date, merchant, category, amount, currency, tax deduction breakdown) directly into your private Google Sheets spreadsheet.
- Local & Ephemeral: The extraction is performed ephemerally. NovaDocs AI does not retain copies of your spreadsheet data on external servers or database clusters.

3. Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use Disclosure)
NovaDocs AI's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:
- We do not transfer Google user data to any third-party advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.
- We do not use Google user data for serving personalized advertisements.
- We do not use Google user data to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- Humans are not permitted to read your document contents or spreadsheet rows unless you explicitly provide written consent for technical troubleshooting.

4. Cloud-Assisted Intelligence (Gemini Vision Multimodal Inference)
To provide automated document naming, line-item extraction, currency detection, and categorization, NovaDocs AI utilizes Google Gemini models via secure Google Cloud Vertex AI infrastructure.
- Ephemeral Processing: When you scan a document, the document image/text stream is transmitted securely for momentary in-memory classification.
- No Data Retention: Data is processed in-memory and immediately purged once classification and typography metadata are returned to your device.
- Privacy Protections: Under Google Cloud enterprise terms, customer data is never used to train base foundation models.

5. Advertising & Monetization (Google AdMob)
The free tier of NovaDocs AI is supported by Google AdMob in compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and GDPR/UMP guidelines. AdMob may collect non-sensitive diagnostic and device identifiers. Users who upgrade to the Pro Tier have all advertisements and ad-related SDK tracking completely disabled.

6. Data Security & TLS Encryption
All data transmitted between NovaDocs AI, Google Cloud, Google Drive, and Google Sheets is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS 1.3 encryption protocols.

7. Data Deletion & User Revocation Rights
- Document Deletion: You retain total ownership. To delete any file or spreadsheet created by NovaDocs AI, you can delete it directly from your Google Drive or Google Sheets at any time.
- Permission Revocation: NovaDocs AI uses standard Google OAuth 2.0. You can instantly revoke NovaDocs AI's access at any time from your Google Account Security Settings (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions).
