NovaDocs AI ("we," "our," or "the App") is a productivity tool designed to help you scan, organize, and archive documents directly to your personal Google Drive. We value your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how your data is handled.
The NovaDocs Privacy Promise: We do not own, store, or sell your documents. Your data belongs to you. We use industry-standard encryption and secure cloud-assisted intelligence to organize your files without compromising your privacy.
1. Google Drive Integration (User-Controlled Storage)
NovaDocs AI uses the Google Drive REST API with the limited drive.file scope. This means:
- Access Limitation: The app can only see, edit, and manage the specific files and folders that it creates (the "NovaDocs_AI" folder). We cannot access your other personal documents or photos in your Google Drive.
- No External Storage: Your scanned PDFs are transmitted directly from your device to your personal Google Drive. At no point are these files stored on our own external servers.
2. Cloud-Assisted Intelligence (Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite)
To provide automated document naming and categorization, NovaDocs AI utilizes Google Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite via secure Vertex AI for Firebase integration.
- Ephemeral Processing: When you scan a document, the document's text or image data is transmitted to a secure Google Cloud environment for momentary analysis (inference).
- No Data Retention: This data is processed in-memory and is not stored permanently on the cloud server. Once the classification is returned to the app, the document data is purged from the processing session.
- Privacy Protections: Through our use of Vertex AI, Google does not use your document data to train its foundational AI models.
3. Advertising & Monetization (Google AdMob)
The free version of NovaDocs AI is supported by Google AdMob. To serve relevant advertisements, AdMob may collect certain data, including:
- Device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID).
- General location data (at the city or country level).
- App performance and diagnostic data.
Users who purchase the Pro Upgrade will have all advertisements removed and AdMob data collection disabled within the App.
4. Data Security & Encryption
All data transmitted between NovaDocs AI, Firebase, and Google Drive is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols. We ensure that your document data is never sent over unencrypted channels.
5. Data Deletion & User Rights
- Document Deletion: You have full control over your data. To delete any document scanned by NovaDocs AI, simply delete it from your Google Drive.
- Account Deletion: NovaDocs AI does not require you to create a proprietary account. We use Google Sign-In for authentication. Therefore, we do not store "user accounts" to delete. Removing the App's access via your Google Account security settings will terminate all connections.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the App description in the Google Play Store.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of NovaDocs AI (the "App"), developed by Cosmos Code. By installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Use of the Service
NovaDocs AI provides document scanning, OCR extraction, and cloud-archiving features. You are responsible for any documents you scan. You must not use the App for any illegal activities or to scan documents that violate the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
2. Google Drive and Data Management
The App integrates with Google Drive to store your documents. All documents are stored in your personal Google storage. Cosmos Code does not own your content and has no access to your files beyond the files created by the App in the specific "NovaDocs_AI" folder. You are responsible for managing your own Google storage limits.
3. In-App Purchases and Billing
NovaDocs AI offers a "Vision AI Pro" version available for a one-time purchase of $7.99 (or local equivalent).
- All transactions are handled by the Google Play Store.
- Refunds are subject to Google Play’s official refund policy.
- Lifetime access is granted for the life of the App as provided on the Android platform.
4. Ad-Supported Rewards
Users of the free version may earn "Bonus Scans" by viewing advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Interacting with ads is optional. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements served via AdMob.
5. Limitation of Liability
NovaDocs AI is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Cosmos Code makes no warranties regarding the accuracy of OCR extraction or the 100% availability of Google Cloud services. In no event shall we be liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, Google Drive connectivity issues, or accidental deletion.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to modify or terminate the App’s features at any time. You may terminate your use of the service by uninstalling the App and revoking access via your Google Account security settings.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws applicable to international digital software distribution and the specific jurisdiction of the developer's registration.
